Lucre's Scheme

Moved from Errors section as not fully relevant to the Main Article, but preserved for prosperity and future editors.

  • Kim and Ron mock Frugal Lucre’s scheme because they do not believe it matches up toward the other villains’ schemes. However, if the entire world did send Frugal Lucre the dollar he requested, he would have had roughly five and a half billion to six billion dollars, which is much more than Ron had in the episode Ron Millionaire, which is 99 million dollars - so should not Kim have realized that his plan was better than most people thought it was?
    • The episode Ron Millionaire has not appeared yet, it was a season 2 episode.
    • Many families now have a computer, but some people, and even communities in the world are still without a computer. Take for example the town in Cap'n Drakken episode, to name one, where if they have one, they hide it from Franklin Barkin. It is highly unlikely that every person on the planet could have sent Lucre a dollar, even if they were willing, but he would still have received a lot of money, which might have been around what Ron received in Ron Millionaire, but that is debatable.

Alternate Version

There is a dialog change (ADR) in one scene.
  • Original/international version: Dr. Possible: You know, some of the other rocket scientists will only use brand-name heat shields. But, do I fall for that kind of elitism? You bet I don't. Not as long as the generic shields are just as good at half the price. / Kim: (Sighs) You don't wear heat shields, Dad. / Dr. Possible: Well, no. Unless you were plummeting though the upper atmosphere, then you'd wish you were wearing them!
  • USA version: Dr. Possible: You know, some of the other guys at the lab will only use brand-name heat shields. But, do I fall for that kind of elitism? You bet I don't. Not as long as the generic shields are just as good at half the price. / Kim: (Sighs) You don't wear heat shields, Dad. / Dr. Possible: Well, no. Unless you were tunneling to the earth's core, then you'd wish you were wearing them!
  • The line "Howdy, smart shopper! Are you lost?" is shown over a still image (no mouth movement) in the original/international version. In the USA version, this was corrected.
  • Ron's first line in Act II is slightly edited in the USA version. The line was "You know, we could just send this guy his money." The words "you know" were cut out.
