This Memorial Day weekend, Disney Channel will celebrate making their 100th Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM). That milestone will be a "loose remake" of Adventures in Babysitting. Leading up to that premiere will be showing all DCOMs during the four-day weekend. And kicking it all off is So the Drama. Though it's the 57th DCOM, it's the first animated DCOM, so it's kind of nice that it will be shown first.
The DCOMs are not being shown in order. You can see the full schedule at the Pop Crush website, but So the Drama starts at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27th.
That website also states that the movies are going to be released on VOD (Video on Demand), iTunes, Amazon (Amazon Prime), Instant Video and Google Play. So the Drama is already available on…Read more >
Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle are both scheduled to be at the Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, Washington this coming April. The final schedule of what panels all of the guests will be participating in won't be determined until March, so right now, each guest is simply marked as participating in autograph sessions. Hopefully the two will be on a panel together during the three days they're scheduled to attend. I know Will's still heavily involved in voice acting as Star-Lord on various Marvel cartoons.
The full list of guests is available on the ECCC Entertainment Guests page.
The convention runs from April 7, 2016 through April 10. The bad news is that the tickets page shows that Saturday and the 3-day and 4-day passes are alrea…Read more >
Earlier this month, Disney announced that Kim's final mission is coming to an end. This summer, the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure will be replaced by Agent P's World Showcase Adventure at Epcot in Walt Disney World in Florida. Agent P is the agent name of Perry the Platypus, pet of the two stepbrothers in Phineas and Ferb.
For those who have somehow missed it or might not have been interested in the show, here's a summary:
- Two stepbrothers are determined to make each day of their summer vacation the best they possibly can. To that end, they build fantastic inventions that are not hindered by things like physics, time or money. For example, they made a rollercoaster that goes through the entire town and built it in a few hours, then l…
Though Ron and Kim know how unique naked mole rats are, or at least one in particular, the rest of us might not know anything about them. National Public Radio had a report yesterday about the completion of the genetic code for the naked mole rat. You can listen to the report and read it on the NPR site, but here's some of the highlights:
- Naked mole rats are cold-blooded, yet still mammals.
- They don't get cancer.
- They don't feel certain types of pain.
- They can live in low oxygen areas, like the tunnels they normally live in.
- They live for around 30 years.
So, now that the genome is mapped, what do they do with that info? Apply it to cancer and aging research, or other things like put genes in mices for study.
Check out the picture on the NPR page…Read more >
When I found this wiki in 2009, it has been unattended for a few years. It would be about another year before I decided to step forward and adopt this wiki so that it could be revived. Since then, I've been able to do some research and I think I know why Erased Paper abandoned the wiki.
During the last year he was active, he had to deal with about two dozen vandalism accounts, all trying to ruin the wiki. I don't know what started it and there's no point in even trying to figure out why. It was vandalism and we'll leave it at that. All of their messes have since been cleaned up.
However, one of those vandals is still showing up in the list of the people who have edited here the most. Eventually that list will go away, especially if I decide …Read more >
